My run is waiting for payment — how do I fix it?

Your run has stopped, and the run detail page shows the state Waiting for Payment. This means the run was working normally and the organization’s balance ran out before it could finish. The run didn’t fail — it paused, and it’s waiting for credit.

For how the balance works in general, see Credits and billing. For the full walk-through, see Resume a run that’s waiting for payment. This page is the quick diagnosis.

What happened

A run draws on the organization’s balance as it works. If the balance drops below zero after a step finishes, the run stops there rather than running up an unpayable bill.

Nothing already done is lost. The run holds its place and will pick up from the step after the one where it paused — completed work is never repeated.

Confirm it’s a payment pause

Open the run detail page and check the status badge:

  • Waiting for Payment — the run paused for an empty balance. This page applies.
  • Waiting for Gate, Waiting for Answer, or Awaiting Plan Approval — a different kind of pause. See Run states.

A run held for payment also shows a notice on the run detail page explaining that the balance fell below zero after a step completed.

Top up the balance

The run is waiting on one thing: credit. Until the organization’s balance is back above zero, it can’t continue.

Adding credits is handled through DIJJI.ai support — reach out, and the credits are applied to your organization. Once they land, they show in the Credits & Adjustments list on the Billing page.

Top up enough to clear zero. A partial top-up that leaves the balance still negative won’t release the run — it stays paused until the balance is positive. For the warning thresholds and limits worth knowing, see Balances, spending limits, and time.

The run resumes once the balance is positive

When the balance goes positive, DIJJI.ai resumes every run that was paused for payment — you don’t have to press anything. The run leaves Waiting for Payment, returns to Running, and carries on from the next step.

There’s a short delay between the credits being applied and the run restarting. Refresh the run detail page if it still shows the old state.

If the balance is topped up but a run is still showing Waiting for Payment, the run detail page has a Resume Run button on the payment notice — select it to start the run yourself. Use it only after you’ve confirmed the balance is positive; resuming on a still-negative balance just pauses again at the next step.

Still stuck

If the balance is positive, you’ve refreshed, and Resume Run didn’t release the run — reach out to DIJJI.ai support. Include the project name, the task, and the run number.
