Invite a team member

New people join your organization by invitation. You send an invite to an email address, the person accepts it, and they become a member. This page covers sending an invitation, what the invited person sees, and managing invites that haven’t been accepted yet.

Inviting people is an admin action. If you’re a member, you’ll see the people list but not the Invite button — ask an admin to send the invitation. For what each role can do, see Roles: admin and member.

Send an invitation

  1. Open Settings and select the Members page.
  2. Select Invite at the top of the Members card. The Invite Team Member dialog opens.
  3. Enter the person’s address in Email Address.
  4. Choose a RoleMember or Admin. It defaults to Member, which is right for almost everyone; pick Admin only for someone who should also manage billing, people, and settings.
  5. Select Send Invitation.

The person doesn’t need a DIJJI.ai account first — the invitation creates their path in.

If the invite won’t send

DIJJI.ai blocks an invitation that can’t succeed and tells you why:

  • “User is already a member of this organization” — that person has already joined. There’s nothing to do.
  • “A pending invite already exists for this email” — you (or another admin) already invited this address and it hasn’t been accepted yet. Find it in Pending Invitations below rather than sending a new one.
  • An invalid email address is rejected before the invite is sent — check for typos.

What the invited person receives

The person gets an email inviting them to join your organization, with a link to accept. The invitation expires after 7 days.

When they open the link, they sign in with their email and a 6-digit code (the same sign-in path everyone uses), then confirm joining. A few things to know:

  • They must accept using the address you invited — signing in with a different account shows a “Wrong account” message asking them to use the invited email.
  • If the link has expired, they’ll see “Invitation expired” and a note to ask you for a new one. Send a fresh invite from the Members page.
  • A person can belong to only one organization. If they already belong to another, accepting fails — DIJJI.ai doesn’t support multi-organization membership yet.

Manage pending invitations

Every invitation that hasn’t been accepted appears in the Pending Invitations section of the Members page, showing the email, the role, an Expires date, and a status badge — Pending, or Expired once the 7 days run out.

As an admin, each pending invite has two controls:

  • Resend invitation — sends the invitation email again. Use this if the person lost the email or the invite expired.
  • Revoke invitation — cancels the invite. A confirmation dialog asks “Are you sure you want to revoke the invitation to (email)?”; select Revoke to confirm. Once revoked, the link no longer works, and you’re free to invite that address again.

When there are no outstanding invites, the section reads “No pending invitations — all invitations have been accepted or expired.”

Once someone has joined, you can adjust their access: see Change a member’s role and Remove a member.
